When you walk into a MOUNTAIN STATE LOG HOME, Inc. you will be impressed with the size and superior quality of the logs, the attention to detail, and the excellent craftsmanship. When you buy a log home from MOUNTAIN STATE LOG HOMES, INC. you can expect a premier log home.

We use Engelmann Spruce, Douglas Fir, Lodgepole Pine and Western Red Cedar, all from the United States of America. We are very PROUD to be a US company that is using US products. Your log home is HAND-CRAFTED one log at a time by skilled log crafters from Colorado. The typical size log is a full round 12″-14″ mean diameter. All wall logs are full length with no visible vertical butt joints. Our exclusive Tru-FIT® method of scribing is the TIGHTEST FITTING scribe-method used and by using polyurethane insulation instead of fiberglass we achieve a BETTER INSULATION VALUES WITH LESS SETTLING.

Let us show you the features and benefits of Tru-Fit®. We offer a variety of differing log construction methods; Tru-Fit® scribe, Western chinked, “D”, dovetail, post & beam, timber frame, log accents and hybrid methods. Shrink-to-fit saddle notch is the norm. All butts are curled and sanded. Ridge beams, purlins, support beams, log floor joists and pitch logs are cut to accept dimensional framing. Exterior log walls typically are 9 ft. or 10 ft. high.

Our log package also includes roof ridge beams and purlins, support posts, second floor log floor joists on 4 ft. – 6 ft. centers, roof trusses, interior log walls when specified, handcrafted log stairs, hand-peeled and assembled railings for interior stairs, lofts and balconies. Porches and deck railings and support post are as specified on construction drawings.
